Lately, I was alot of time in my dad’s house, and his computer’s graphics card doesn’t play along with Second Life, for some reason. So, I decided to (re)check out a “pixelated” world with a 2D view and graphics. It requires only the Adobe Shockwave Player, so it was very simple to start. I signed up (you can customize your character human as you’d like), and *BAM* i’m online in 10 minutes. One thing thought, i’m named ShadowTSL in there, instead of the very-often-used SmileyTSL. I took both, but this time I wanted to be my “other persona”. After going around this teen-oriented community, I created my room(s), and started looking around the hotel for free stuff, like any other noob. I won some games, used my complimentary coins, and here I am. I made some friends in there, and it’s pretty fun. Great when I can’t access Second Life or There.com . (That person on the right is me in Habbo Hotel
)
These are guest-created games that are, or were, in Habbo Hotel: (Green means “survived”, red means not available anymore and yellow means new ones)
- Fridge Game – This awesome game requires each player, during his turn, to rush to the fridge and get something. If he gets a carrot, he needs to pay-to-stay (”P2S”), choose other options which require pay, watch, or get kicked. A can of milk or blackcurrant (pictured like soda) means that user will stay for the next round, and ice-cream lets him pick to kick (”P2K”, not to be confused with Pay-2-Kick.) someone in the room. Most games have prizes, yet some are for fun
. - Falling Furni – This nice game requires speed clicking, awareness, and a high speed internet connection. The owner drops pieces of furniture, and people must be seated, like musical chairs, to stay. The pieces are dropped in different times, and sometimes in the same distance between people in “tri” and “1 seat” mode to see who is the fastest clicker. Last one has the normal options, including pay-to-stay.
- Pac-Man: Alert! – This game didn’t survive, but is a pretty nice one… There is a room set as Pac-Man, and a player must ring all four (4) alerts to go up a level. Players can block others and help others, but people with rights (to kick and move furniture) cannot play or participate in any way.
- Defend your Seat! (or Pura in most cases) — In this game, you pick a seat, and must “defend” it, by not letting others sit on it, and go back to theirs saying your seat’s color (or type as well if played in higher difficulty). You can do this too, to kick others out of the game. Last one left wins the game, or goes up a level, decided by the owner.
- Kick Warz — In this game, the room is set like a battlefield. Everyone has rights, and the target is to be the last one “alive”, aka, not kicked. This game is highly difficult, and is mostly based on luck, as hiding does not help, as people can move the object you’re hiding behind.
- Fridge Races — In this game, there are four+ (4+) fridges. The number of players is the same as the number of fridges. The owner says an object that can be taken from the fridge, and users must race to their fridge, keep clicking, and race back when they got the item. Last one needs to either pay to stay, or use any other option.
Rooms can be created and modified with a few simple clicks. Furni (furniture) is sometimes interactive, plain, or “sittable”. Special furni is furni that responds to user double-clicks, animates, controls a user’s location (E.g.: Teleporters and rollers), or adds to the overall experience (E.g.: Trax machines play music you create yourself). There are tons of rares to collect, some are, ice cream machines, “Mocha”s, thrones, Habbo Club tubs, and more. You can see all rares and descriptions at BobbaValues.com.
Official games exist as well. For example, there is Battle Ball: Rebound, a game that its goal is to mark the most squares, by moving onto them while hopping on a ball, or by using power-ups. They are completely automatic, unlike guest-created games which require someone to operate.
If you wanna sign up, send me a request to Smiley [at] DuoGrid [dot] com, so I could refer you officially, thus receiving 3 coins
. I’ll give you one coin, as you don’t receive any. You can get plenty for one, they’re “rare” as you can’t trade furni back to coins automatically…
