From now on, when browsing on an iPhone or iPod Touch-optimized Safari browser, you will see the blog in a redesigned, tidy, format. You can try it by using an iPhone or iPod Touch, or by doing the following steps: (good for testing any web app for iPhone/iPod Touch — method works only with Firefox)
- Go to about:config
- Right click > New… > String and name it “general.useragent.override”
- Paste in the value dialog the following text: “Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543a Safari/419.3″
- Browse to a page of your liking. If it has a version optimized for iPhone or iPod Touch, it will show it instead.
To undo it:
- Go to about:config
- Write in the search field “general.useragent.override”
- Right-click the result and select (not sure about the text in english, could be: ) “Delete”, “Format”, “Erase”, “Remove”, etc.
- Continue browsing…
Once you do the first set of steps, recheck the blog homepage :-).
